Snake Scientist and Looney Tunes

What do these have in common? They are titles of two new non-fiction books for young readers.

The first shows scientists in the process of studying snakes. The second is another book in the "Ultimate Visual Guide" series that has included Superman, Batman and the X-Men. Profusely illustrated, in other words, and full of fas-kinating pix and info.

Bumper Crop of Books for Summer

Just in time to kick off this year's summer reading game (sorry, no adults), the library has received a bumper crop of great new kids books. They are too numerous to list here, but they include:

1 Toddler book
2 Picture Books (including this year's Caldecott Medal winner)
4 Juvenile Non-Fiction books
11(!) Juvenile Fiction books
4 Teen Fiction books

Come in and take a look! Most of them will be on the "New and Seasonal Books" display rack...until someone comes and grabs them first, that is.
