Radio Days
A number of years ago I had a library radio show on the now-defunct cable radio station located on the Lagunitas School campus.
It ran once a week, for two hours. It included spontaneous reviews of new books, interesting topics about library use, and brief snippets of audio books.
It only lasted a few months because it became clear that I was lucky if I had one person listening.
I guess I get to feeling that way about this blog. Maybe I need to look at boosting the options on this blog to make it more interactive and interesting.
Either way, it will continue and, hopefully, I will be more regular with it.
Thanks for listening. ;-)

Vanity of vanities, all is vanity
A book we have had for some time that I wish would get more "play" is a kids book about the history and varying customs of vanity.
In our culture where vanity is the second greatest virtue only behind greed, and where magazines like YM and Seventeen grab the reading attention of teen readers more than new novels or informational magazines, I thought it would be good to have a counter-view of things.
The book is informative, illustrated, and amusing:
Vanity: A Very Peculiar History by Vicki Power J 391.6 Power SGV
