Kids' Magazines

The San Geronimo Valley Library subscribes to a number of magazines, some for kids and some for adults. Here is a list of the kids' magazines we subscribe to:

American Girl

Dragon

Gamepro

Kids Discover

Mad

Teen People

YM

This collection shifts a bit every year. Recent titles no longer subscribed to include New Moon, Teen, Ranger Rick, Seventeen and BOP.

Educational titles show almost non-existent interest on the part of students here. Strange but true. Sad but true.

Look No Further!!

Looking for something new to read? Want to find books just like the ones written by________??

Now both kids and adults have a handy online resource to help them do just that, through a subscription that the library has to Novelist and Novelist K-8 (perfect for Lagunitas/San Geronimo students).

You can link to both of them from the MCFL Information Resources page. Just scroll down until you see the icons. They can both be accessed from home with your library card number.

Take a look, find something new!

This is a totally informal offering, the same one I make to all library staff. In this case I am simply extending it to the local public.

The Devil Is In The Details

Just today I was trying to find the meaning of the term "the devil is in the details" because it was relevant to something in my life.

What I found, of interest to anyone looking for the meaning of such phrases or idioms, is the following web site. Every time you surf there it automatically gives you a new idiom upfront, but then you can put in a term of interest.

The following titles are all located in our "Spanish" section in the children's room.
